GOES stands for Generate-Organize-Expand-Select. It is a methodology that enables both individuals and teams to come up with new ideas that are relevant, focused, valuable and actionable. The following figure shows the GOES cycle and illustrates the different components.


The key to the GOES cycle is the interplay of the inductive and deductive processes and the evaluation driven and evaluation free activities.
